Mobile4D disaster alerting system successfully tested in Laos

From April 22 to 25, we installed and intensely tested the Mobile4D disaster alterting and reporting system in Luang Prabang province in Laos. Our delegation also included four students of the student's project.

Talk on Crowdsourced Disaster Alerting System at UNU-IIST, Macau

Capacity Lab director Christian Freksa will give a talk in the UNU-IIST seminar series on Monday, March 4, 11:00 at UNU-IIST in Macau. He will talk about the current state of the mobile4D project.

Workshop to Prepare Disaster Alerting Component of PRAM KSN

From Nov 22 to Nov 23, 2012, Mr. Savanh Hanephom and Dr. Thatheva Saphangtong from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF) of Lao PDR joined the Capacity Lab at the University of Bremen for a workshop to prepare the development of a disaster alerting and notification component for PRAM KSN based on Smartphone technology.
